RSorder OSRS: Setting Up the Safespot

With clean execution, this setup provides the highest kills/hour currently possible on Great White Sharks.

This loadout ensures you maintain your ship, maximize your DPS, and keep your inventory clean for hours of RuneScape gold farming.

Setting Up the Safespot

Once you find an empty world, sail over to the rocky outcrop. The positioning is extremely precise, so it may take a few tries to get it right. Here's how to set up the safespot correctly:

Reverse your ship into the rock formation

Move slowly until the rear of your ship is tucked near-but not touching-the rock.

Use the "Park" command

Once in the general area, park your boat to lock in your initial position.

Pull the first shark

Attack a Great White Shark. If the shark is pulled directly behind your ship and cannot attack you, you're close to the right spot.

Adjust by micro-movement

If the shark hits you, follow this sequence:

Move forward one tile, which actually pushes you two tiles due to sailing mechanics.

Move backward one tile, which moves you a single tile.
Repeat until the shark is unable to reach you.

Confirm the perfect angle

A properly placed shark will sit directly behind your ship, taking damage from both cannons at once.

If the shark drifts too far left, you're positioned too far to the left.

If you're pressed against the rock, your cannons won't align for the double hit.

Adjust slightly until the shark sits exactly in the "double-cannon pocket" behind your stern.

Once this is set up, you're now in the best possible position for max kill rates.

Maintaining High Kills per Hour

The Great White Shark spawn cycle includes brief downtimes when no shark spawns behind you. To avoid wasted time, use the following method to ensure both cannons stay active as often as possible.

1. Attack Side Sharks During Downtime

Sharks commonly get trapped on either side of the rock formation. Use these spawns to your advantage:

Pull the shark on the left or right.

Begin DPSing while your cannons assist.

2. Enable Double Cannon DPS

Here's how to keep both cannons firing:

Aggro a shark on the left.

Disable the "Follow Captain's Target" setting for your left cannoneer.

Then attack a shark on the right.

This forces:

The left cannon to fire at the left shark.

The right cannon to fire at the right shark.

This dual firing ensures there is zero downtime between shark cycles.

3. Return to the Main Trap Shark

As soon as a new shark spawns behind you:

Switch back immediately.

Allow cannons to assist with the high-DPS double hit.

Resume side-shark multitasking afterward.

With clean execution, this setup provides the highest kills/hour currently possible on Great White Sharks.

Troubleshooting Your Position

If sharks begin to circle your boat or wander out of position:

Move slightly forward or backward to RS gold re-align the trap.
